During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is such an exciting time. But while you're busy preparing for your new arrival, don't forget to treat yourself with a bit of extra love and care too. With a growing baby bump, changing hormones and sensitive skin, it's not always easy to stay comfortable. Happily, there are always ways to alleviate any discomfort. Read on for some top tips from mums who have been through it themselves.

Comfortable clothing during pregnancy

Soft natural fibres like cotton are gentle on sensitive skin, and a few favourite pieces should last your whole pregnancy. Nikki Reeves, mum of two from Derbyshire insists that you don't have to sacrifice style for comfort.

"Their priority should be comfort, but you can get some really comfortable maternity clothes that still look good."

Now that you're pregnant you might not feel like going out so much. Mum, Lisa Blackburn says:

"I didn't realise that I would feel so tired when I was pregnant. I didn't really feel like going out – I just loved coming home and snuggling up in my pyjamas."

And remember, if you don't want to miss out on socialising, just invite your friends over for a girls' night in.

Special pillows for extra comfort

You may find you need more sleep when you're pregnant. But as your baby grows, it can become more difficult to get comfy. Lisa found a special V shaped pillow helped her sleep when she was pregnant – plus, she says:

"It was great for breast feeding too."
